Georgia Jets Flying Club - Hunting Season Site Restrictions

Hunter Restrictions For The Flying Site Property

Hunting activities are very popular in the Meriwether County area near and around the flying site. During hunting season (current year dates posted below) hunters actively hunt on the flying site property and all of the adjacent properties. Therefore, for personal safety during hunting season, Georgia Jets members are allowed on the flying site only between 10:00am and nightfall. Otherwise, the site is closed during hunting season due to hunting on the site and on the adjacent properties.

Hunter Restrictions have also been placed on the hunters that hunt on the flying site property. These Hunter Restrictions are set forth below.

All visitors to the flying site should be aware that hunters on the adjacent properties do not have any restrictions and may hunt during all hours.

Hunter Restrictions For The Flying Site Property

Hunting is only allowed during hunting season (current year dates posted below). During hunting season, hunting is only allowed in the early morning hours until 10:00am and during inclement weather or windy conditions when no one else is on the property.

Tommy Whitener and his guests are the only people allowed to hunt on the property.

A maximum of four hunters are allowed on the property at any given time and must be accompanied by Tommy Whitener or a member of Tommy Whitener's immediate family.
